Arsenal have seen enough from Martin Odegaard to sign him permanently.
The 22-year-old joined Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid in January.
Odegaard has scored in his last two appearances, including in Sunday's derby win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Mikel Arteta has been effusive in his praise of the Norwegian, who has been equally complimentary of life in north London.
And according to the Daily Mail, the Gunners want to begin talks with Real about a permanent transfer.
There was no option to buy clause in Odegaard's loan deal, so Arsenal would have to negotiate a fee.
Fortunately for Arsenal, Real could look to cash in on Odegaard as they look to fund deals for for either Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland.
