Barcelona captain Lionel Messi is delighted seeing Joan Laporta win the presidential election.
Laporta won Sunday's vote ahead of rivals Toni Freixa and Victor Font. Significantly, Messi made a show of voting in the election yesterday.
El Chiringuito says the Argentine, off contract in June, was happy to see Laporta win.
Messi enjoyed great success during Laporta's previous time as president and the door remains open to him signing a new contract and staying beyond the end of this season.
The captain isn't expected to make any decision about his next move until the end of the season.
