Malmo defender Anel Ahmedhodzic admits a move to Atalanta is close.
The Bosnia international is leaving MFF this summer, with Atalanta expected to be his destination.
Ahmedhodzic told GianlucadiMarzio.com: "My passage to Atalanta is not yet official. There are two clubs in Italy that have looked for me, but with the Nerazzurri the negotiations are now at an advanced stage.
"Many clubs followed me and wanted me already in January. The Rossoneri asked for information about me, as a child I looked at (Paolo) Maldini who is one of the idols that inspire me.
"(Miralem) Pjanic and (Edin) Dzeko (Bosnia teammates) spoke to me about Serie A, but above all my friend (Dejan) Kulusevski. Atalanta is the ideal place for a young player who wants to grow, I can't wait to put myself to the test. My favorite Nerazzurri? Josip Ilicic."
