Manchester City have resumed negotiations with Kevin de Bruyne about a new contract.
The Belgium international and City have been in talks for months, with De Bruyne unhappy with the terms offered.
HLN says after taking a break, the two parties have again come together in order to find a breakthrough.
Currently tied to City until 2023, the Sky Blues are offering a new deal to 2028 worth €18m-a-year.
De Bruyne is happy with the extension, which would take him to 35 years of age, but wants to become the best-paid player in the Premier League.
