UMS campus placed under Emco

Kota Kinabalu: The Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) campus here has been placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (Emco) following risk assessment from the Ministry of Health. 

 The decision came a day after three UMS residential colleges were declared Emco until April 18 following detection of Covid-19 positive cases in the area. 

 Sabah’s official Covid-19 spokesperson, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic), in a statement on Monday said accordingly, the Kota Kinabalu District Management Committee has organised movement and coordinated inbound and outbound movement control requirements in the locality in question.

 Meanwhile, Sabah recorded 65 new positive cases and two Covid-19 fatality in Tawau on Monday.
