Kota Kinabalu: A Unicef (United Nations Children’s Fund, a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide) survey in Malaysia shows that living conditions under the Covid-19 pandemic have affected the mental health of children other than their low-income parents or caretakers.
The survey report titled “Families on the Edge”, which comprises the latest survey conducted in February 2021, found the real impact of a year of hardship and uncertainty is now apparent in terms of the mental wellbeing of women and children, with significant implications for children’s learning among other issues.
