KUNAK: The Nurul Iman Mosque in Pekan Kunak (pic) has been temporarily closed for 14 days from May 14 under the directive of the Ministry of Health.
The reopening of the premises will be announced in due time based on the current situation.
Kunak District Disaster Operations Control Centre (PKOB) Chairman Majaran Osman said the closure of the premises was due to the detection of a positive Covid-19 case involving a man who came to pray at the mosque.
The Kunak Health Office has also issued a notice on its Facebook page requesting those who had performed prayers at the mosque from April 26 to May 6 to go to the Kunak Health Office for Covid-19 screening purposes. Those with inquiry can contact 017-8107526.
