Real Madrid are making a move for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde this week.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is seeking a new centre-half signing as he prepares to see Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos depart this summer.

Foot Mercato says top of Florentino's shopping list is Kounde, who is also a target for Manchester City.

Indeed, it's City's interest which has forced Florentino's hand and to accelerate his plans this week.

Kounde's contract carries a €90m buyout clause, but Sevilla would be willing to sell this summer for €50m.

Indeed, Sevilla have already identified a replacement in Lyon defender Loic Bade.
