Inter Milan president Steven Zhang is confident Simone Inzaghi chimes with the club's values.
Inzaghi has left Lazio to succeed Antonio Conte at the Italian champions.
Zhang said, “It immediately becomes clear that Simone is a coach aligned with the club and, at the same time, experienced and able to compete both in Italy and in Europe. He is young and with great potential and is suited to the shape of our team, he fits well."
On the club's delicate finances, Zhang added: "Specifically, the goal is to reduce costs, build the team together with the coach, remain competitive, and at the same time obtain revenues from the market.
“It is important to compete at the highest levels both in Italy and in Europe. In Europe for a club like Inter it is important not only in terms of sport but also for economic reasons."
