Brighton are eyeing Independiente attacking midfielder Alan Velasco.
The Argus says reports from Argentina suggest that an offer of around £7 million has been made by the Seagulls.
There is no confirmation - either way - of that from closer to home.
But the 18-year-old is among players of interest to Brighton and has been for some time.
Velasco can play wide on either side, as an attacking central midfielder or just off a main striker and is seen as one of his nation's brightest attacking prospects.
