PSG signing Achraf Hakimi priced himself out of a move to Chelsea this summer.

Hakimi left Inter Milan earlier this summer for PSG in a deal worth €73m.

The defender's agent has confirmed "Chelsea also pushed for Ashraf", but the Morocco international eventually committed to PSG.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was keen on the fullback, having worked with him as coach of Borussia Dortmund.

But the Athletic reports Hakimi's personal demands proved too rich for Chelsea's board to consider. At PSG, Hakimi is on €9m-a-year - net, reports Le 10 Sport.
