Liverpool have approached Brighton for Yves Bissouma.

The Daily Express says Liverpool have launched a first approach for Brighton star Yves Bissouma as they look to strengthen Jurgen Klopp's midfield in the final days of the transfer window.

The Reds have been monitoring Bissouma, 24, throughout the summer after his impressive 2020/21 season at the Amex, during which he made 36 Premier League appearances.

And Liverpool have seized the initiative by lodging an official transfer enquiry with the Seagulls.

Brighton will demand £40million for Bissouma and they are under little pressure to sell him after Ben White's £50million departure for Arsenal.
