Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris has spoken about the messages players are getting from Fabio Paratici and Steve Hitchen on the touchline.
Directors rarely get involved in coaching, with Paratici a director of football and Hitchen the technical performance director.
But both of them were spotted playing a key role on the touchline in their opening games of the season.
"[The defending] is an area where we can feel that we're improving," said the Spurs skipper, per football.london, after a 1-0 win over Wolves.
"The confidence is coming back, but again in football the balance can become very fragile if we are not focused every day on it.
"That's the message of the manager, the message from Steve and Fabio. They are here to help. To bring their energy, to bring their experience and then as a leader, we have a few players in the changing room that we have to show the way.
"We have to show the way and today we did well."
