Martin Odegaard is pleased with his connection with Arsenal teammate Emile Smith Rowe.

The 22-year-old has proven a lively spark for Arsenal since joining permanently from Real Madrid, having spent the second half of last season on loan at the Emirates.

Odegaard and Smith Rowe linked up well in Saturday's win over Burnley, and the Norwegian is happy with their developing relationship.

Speaking to Stadium Astro, Odegaard said of Smith Rowe: "I think we already have a good connection on the pitch.

"As you said, there are a lot of talented young players. We have Emile, Bukayo [Saka] and also a lot of other young players. We are getting along really well on and off the pitch, because everyone is young, with time, it will get better and better.

"And hopefully, we will get to know each other more and understand where each player wants the ball. I feel that will improve.

He added: "But I already feel that we have a great connection. Hopefully, it will just get better and better."
