Ecuador coach Gustavo Alfaro is delighted with what he's seen from Brighton youngster Jeremy Sarmiento.
The Albion prospect – who has yet to play a minute in the Premier League - went on as sub during a World Cup qualifier versus Bolivia.
He helped Ecuador see out a comfortable 3-0 win which boosts their chances of reaching Qatar next year.
Alfaro said: “Jeremy Sarmiento is adjusting to this reality of the national team.
“It was a nice possibility to be able to put him on. He has enormous growth potential."
Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo, currently on loan at Beerschot, played the first 78 minutes.
