Chelsea midfielder Jorginho was snappy after victory at Newcastle.

Given Newcastle's lack of ambition in the final third, it was inevitable that Chelsea would open the scoring and Reece James duly put his side in front midway through the second half.

James added a second in the 77th minute before Jorginho scored a penalty late on to give Chelsea a comfortable three points after Newcastle's resistance was finally broken.

When asked about a 'frustrating first hour' after the game, Jorginho queried: "Why frustrating? You think we were playing not very well?"

The Chelsea TV reporter then clarified how it was 'difficult to come up against a team with that many players lining up in defence'.

"Yeah, it was hard because they were defending well," Jorginho responded. "There wasn't much space to find the pass or to run with the ball, but we kept pushing and we kept counter-pressing when we lost the ball.

"Having control of the game and not allowing Newcastle to have a counter-attack here in their stadium is not easy and we did that so I think we did a good job. We just need to keep pushing until we could find some more space."
