Borussia Dortmund whizkid Immanuel Pherai admits he turned down Manchester United at 16 years of age.
Pherai left AZ Alkmaar for Dortmund in 2017, but not before fielding interest from United and Ajax.
"At that time I had offers from Ajax and Manchester United, but then Dortmund came," Pherai recalled to Spox.
“I had enough confidence to make the move abroad. I quickly decided not to go to United, even though the interest was concrete and I was invited there.
"After speaking to Dortmund the first time, it was an easy decision to make. They showed a concrete plan and I felt good about that."
