Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen isn't surprised Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand is being linked with Aston Villa.
Hjulmand has since ruled himself out of the running for the job.
Christensen said, "He ranks incredibly high, and I can well understand that there are some who want him. He is skilled professionally and has many good ideas and there are actually many ideas that can work at club level for me.
"So I can understand that, but I hope he stays here. I think he does too, because he has only just started and still has a lot to achieve with the team, so of course I hope he stays."
