Manchester City have made it clear to Erling Haaland's minders they're planning to meet his buyout clause at the end of the season.

Haaland is in his second season with Borussia Dortmund, with his contract carrying a €75m buyout clause which comes into effect next summer.

BILD says City are maintaining contact with Haaland's management team of agent Mino Raiola and father Alf-Inge - and have made it clear they'll be meeting the striker's buyout clause at season's end.

It's also suggested rather than fight to keep the Norway international, BVB are already planning to invest the money raised from his sale into buying a replacement.

Helping City in negotiations is that Alf-Inge Haaland is a former Sky Blues player.
