Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says Kevin De Bruyne is finding his very best form.
The Belgian was in fine fettle against Leeds United in the Premier League on Tuesday.
The Citizens claimed a resounding 7-0 win at home against Marcelo Bielsa's relegation battlers.
De Bruyne netted twice in the win, and Guardiola was delighted for his creative playmaker.
"Kevin trained the last two days," he said, per the club's website.
"He had a lack of rhythm against Wolves, but that is normal.
"It is not easy to come back from the bench. He trained really well the last two days. This game was more open and in transitions,
"Kevin is the best (in games like this). Sometimes he struggles when the team sets up deep like Wolves did, but we are so pleased.
"We need him. We have been together for six seasons. We know each other quite well.
"What he has done for me is amazing. We need him. Step by step he will come back.
"He struggled at the start of the season, he lost the rhythm because of Covid and hopefully now he can continue this rhythm because we need him."
