The agent of Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen says he still is upbeat about resuming his playing career.

Eriksen has kicked off training with Odense this week after suffering a cardiac arrest during the Euros.

Current Serie A rules mean a player with an implanted defibrillator cannot be allowed to participate in professional football.

“Like any person having experienced what Christian has, he is working on his recovery. He likes to do this in his own environment in Milano or when he is in Denmark, privately, in his country of birth," agent Martin Schoots told Goal.com.

“Occasionally, when he is some time in Denmark and when he feels like it, he may use the structure of Odense BK. Which is a great gesture of his former club.

“Chris has a positive, optimistic and energetic character, but it is not yet the moment to talk about football. Only Christian will decide if and when this moment will come."
