Real Madrid are assessing the situation around Liverpool's Joe Gomez.

The center back is out of favor at the club, given the form of Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip, and the summer signing of Ibrahima Konate.

Gomez is coming back to full fitness, but may find it difficult to get regular game time at the club.

According to the Daily Mail, Real are assessing Gomez, along with Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger, Villarreal's Pau Torres, and Sevilla's Jules Kounde.

The La Liga giants are determined to sign a top class defender in the summer.

And given the potential shown by Gomez at Anfield, Carlo Ancelotti is convinced he could thrive in Spain.
