KUALA LUMPUR – Footballers produced by the Mokhtar Dahari Academy (AMD) continue to gain the trust of Super League teams as all 44 graduates of the academy’s 2021 session have been snapped up by five of the teams since early this year.
The National Football Development Programme (NFDP), in a post on their Facebook page today, said of the 44 third-generation AMD trainees, 20 had begun training with Selangor FC, followed by Sri Pahang FC (10); Johor Darul Ta’zim (6); and Kuala Lumpur City FC (4) and Terengganu FC (4).
“The AMD and NFDP are proud of every achievement and will always monitor the development of each AMD graduate to ensure they continue to compete in the local and international arena.
“May all AMD graduates continue to succeed and be given as many opportunities as possible to help bring glory to the country,” the NFDP said in the post.
For the record, the AMD had produced 118 footballers as of January 2021, comprising 34 players from the first generation, 40 from the second and 44 from the third. – Bernama, January 30, 2022
