
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah detected two new Covid-19 clusters involving the Sabah General Operations Force (GOF) headquarters in Papar and a school in Kota Belud according to an update.
The index patient in the Persiaran Palma cluster was an employee at the administration division at GOF headquarters, said the update shared by Sabah's spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun.
The cluster that spread in Papar, Penampang and Tuaran was believed to have been sparked by a birthday party for an employee at the force's headquarters.
The index patients in the school cluster at SK Dallas was an aunt of one of the students and close contract screening among other students and teachers found 22 more cases.
Meanwhile, Sabah recorded 358 new cases today, 16 more than yesterday.
