
Kota Kinabalu: A new Covid-19 cluster has been found at a madrasah in Putatan according to an update.
The index patient in the cluster named Pandan Pandan was a 53-year-old teacher at Madrasah Darul Hadis in Kg Pandan Pandan, said the update shared by Sabah's spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun.
Close contact screening among the teacher's family, madrasah staff and students discovered 15 more cases.
Meanwhile, Sabah recorded an increased daily caseload at 256 new cases today, with new clusters pushing daily case counts lately.
The number of positive children below 12 was also quite high at 38 or 15 percent of today's cases.
