KUDAT: A 54-year-old man was reported missing after going out to fish in Perairan Limau-Limauan, Telaga, near here, since Jan 18.
Kudat Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Chief Ishak Jabas said: “We received a call regarding the incident through the Kudat BBP control room from the Kudat police at 12.11pm on Thursday.
“Four personnel, including the operations officer of Senior Fire Officer II Sentay Bakau and a utility vehicle was deployed to the scene located 48km away.
“According to preliminary information from the victim’s wife, Nor Jali had gone out to sea to fish last week and until today (Thursday) has yet to return home,” he said.
Ishak said the fire and rescue team conducted surface search on the Limau-limauan coast.
“The operation was adjourned at 5.10pm and will resume tomorrow (Friday),” he said.
