Kota Kinabalu: A man was charged with threatening to kill his wife.
However, no plea was recorded from Hamzah Serin when the charge was read to him before Magistrate Lovely Natasha Charles, via Zoom on Thursday.
Hamzah is accused of threatening his 37-year-old wife which had caused fear to her at 8.30am on Jan 19 this year at a unit in Nountun Apartment Inanam, here.
The offence under Section 506 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to seven years, or with fine, or both, on conviction.
The court set Feb 11 this year for mention and Hamzah was released on a bail of RM1,200 in two local sureties.
Inspector Kelvan Elson Maik appeared for the prosecution.
