Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar insists they pushed Liverpool all the way for Wednesday night's Champions League defeat.
Inter lost 2-0 at home in the first-leg of their round of 16 tie.
“We dominated for stretches of the game and once again today saw that Inter can play against anyone," Skriniar told Sky Italia.
However, he admits they cannot find the back of the net.
“We did what we had to do and what we had prepared before the game. It was just like against Real Madrid, if you don't put the ball in the net, sooner or later these top clubs will punish you on a set play and that's exactly what happened again."
