Luis Diaz is excited to be part of Liverpool after his £50m move from Porto last weekend.

The Colombia attacker is on Merseyside and could make his debut in the FA Cup against Cardiff City.

Diaz said, "For me it's the perfect team and my decision to come here was a little based on that [games between FC Porto and Liverpool in the Champions groups]. I knew that the team's style of play could also help me. This is a very important moment for me and I'm 100 percent focused on being available and fully prepared to show what I know on the pitch.

"I am very excited to know that I will have a coach (Jurgen Klopp) with this status. It was possible to see, in the two times I played Liverpool against FC Porto, that you could say that he was a good person, not only on the sporting side, but also because he cares about the personal side of the players.

"In the beginning, there will be a period of adaptation and an opportunity to grow alongside my teammates, the coach and his coaching staff. As I said, he will help me a lot, so I am very happy to be here to share this experience with him. I hope all this will help me in my career as a professional player."
