Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is delighted with their new £50m signing Luis Diaz.
The 25-year-old made the move to Anfield last Sunday for a fee of £37.5million which could rise to £50m, but he is currently away on international duty with Colombia.
Diaz, who will wear the No 23 shirt, is yet to meet his new manager and team-mates but Klopp hailed the winger ahead of his arrival.
"I've not even seen him yet! He hasn't been to the training ground yet," Klopp said in his pre-match press conference for the Reds' FA Cup clash on Sunday.
"Just a really good sign that we work on all fronts to try to improve this team. We have to be successful now and in the future.
"We like pretty much everything about him. I've followed him for a while - exceptional. Skillset and character.
"Really happy we could get him in now. His story so far is a special one. I like that. Now he's one of us. We can't wait to welcome him here."
Klopp was quick to heap praise on the club's transfer approach on Friday.
"Our strategy is to sign right players at the right moment," he added. "We recognise issues in terms of positions or contracts. We will never miss having a look ahead.
"That's what we are doing. Building a team for today and tomorrow."
