Tottenham Hotspur director Fabio Paratici insists the club 'found the right players in the right positions' during the January transfer window.
Spurs missed out on the likes of Luiz Diaz and Adama Traore, who chose to join Liverpool and Barcelona respectively.
But Paratici was able to secure deals for Juventus duo Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bencantur.
"It's just one month, not three months like in the summer," Paratici said to the club's official Twitter account.
"A lot of teams, a lot of clubs don't want to move some players. It's a market about opportunities.
"We were looking for specific positions. I think we found the right players in the right positions.
"Players like Bentancur and Kulusevski are young but they have a lot of experience because Bentancur plays for five years at Juventus, almost 200 games and Kulusevksi almost 100."
