Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe doesn't want to lose Fabian Schar.
The Switzerland defender penned a new deal just last year.
Howe said, "We are aware of his contract situation and will be discussing it with his agent shortly."
The 30-year-old centre-back is playing a key role in Howe's team this season.
His manager is very impressed: "Fabian is someone I've always admired. He's a really good centre-back."
