The screening of DC’s ‘The Batman’ was restarted 45 minutes into the movie due to technical errors, not VIP or VVIP guests, as many presumed, TGV Cinemas said in a statement today.
Many presumed that VIP guests were late to the 7:15PM screening at TGV Vivacity in Kuching, Sarawak, which caused the movie to be restarted. That is not the case here.
The cinema chain clarified that the delay was caused due “a technical issue” in the IMAX hall. All impacted guests would receive refunds and two movie passes, they said and reiterated that they “treat all guests equally.”

TGV had previously apologized for the untimely restart after a netizen complained about it.
It is always good practice to verify the news we share to our friends and family before jumping to conclusions.
No “Very Important” guests are to be blamed for the movie restarting. It was simply a miscommunication between cinema staff members and customers.
Staff had allegedly told customers that the movie would be delayed, TVG said, causing these folks to wait outside while the film played in the theatre.
