Kota Kinabalu: Sabah had the lowest #Covid19 infectivity rate in the nation yesterday at 0.79, according to an update from the Health Ministry.
The national average was 1.07.
Labuan, Johor and Kelantan were only other states/federal territory with rates below 1.0 like Sabah.
Sarawak had the highest at 1.36.
The highest infectivity rate ever was above 2.0 in Labuan.
An infectivity rate of 2.0 means a positive person can spread the infection to two other people.
Sabah is currently awaiting the national endemicity and border reopening protocols before the state devises its own that suit its situation and needs.
