Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes insists Arsenal never made him an offer in January.
Guimaraes joined Newcastle from Lyon during the winter market, though was also being linked with Arsenal.
But he revealed to Sky Sports: "I spoke to other clubs like Arsenal.
"But the only concrete offer came from Newcastle and I really wanted to come here.
"I always wanted to play in the Premier League and it was also the start of a new sporting project for the club."
