Brighton manager Graham Potter says Saturday's trip to Newcastle United will be completely different to other seasons.

The Magpies have miraculously got out of the relegation zone after seven games unbeaten in the Premier League.

Potter said: "We've played Newcastle before in a more negative situation for them earlier this season or an empty stadium.

"You go up to St James' Park with a full house behind their team, it's a completely different challenge which is great for us, it's a great experience for us, but what has happened in the past has happened. We've got to play well, compete and all the things you need to, to get points in the Premier League."

He added: "Everything to answer simply. They're more on the front foot, more intense, attack and defend better. Everything has grown in terms of results and positivity, they've had the investment, the crowd has become a lot more positive.

"Eddie and his staff have been the catalyst for that and they've not just invested in players, they've improved the ones that were there before. I think everything has improved and that shows in the results."
