Newcastle United are planning to sell Miguel Almiron in the upcoming transfer window.

The former £21million club-record signing has not shown his best form since arriving from Atlanta United.

According to Football Insider, Newcastle are ready to part with the 28-year-old to raise funds and free up space in their wage bill for incoming signings.

Almiron has only played five of 18 matches since Eddie Howe took charge at Newcastle.

The Paraguay international does not have a single goal or assist this term.
