Southampton star Tino Livramento has offered an update on his recovery from injury.

The 19-year-old played 90 minutes during England Under-21's clash against Andorra, a 4-1 victory.

Livramento managed two assists in the game, and looked a positive presence throughout the contest.

Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl had not been happy with his inclusion in the squad.

"To be honest I am not that happy with his selection because in the past we had made the experience that, at the moment, two or three games in a row is not the best for his knee," Hasenhuttl told the Daily Echo, last week.

Post-game, Livramento stated to reporters: "Yeah, it (the injury) came at quite a difficult time on Boxing Day.

"In a weird way it was a time for me to understand, sit back and see what I've done. Southampton have been brilliant with my recovery and I've got to a point where I'm comfortable playing with a slight injury.

"It's just going to get better over time, I know that. It's more down to myself to let the team know when I'm feeling 100 per cent or when I need to sit inside for a few days and let the swelling go."

He continued: "Right now this is the best I've felt and I feel like that's the main thing, as long as I see improvement from now to the end of season that's the main thing for me.

"I want to be playing games."
