Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe hopes Ryan Fraser will be fit enough to face Southampton on Thursday night.
The Scotsman has been in terrific form recently, provided four goal contributions in Toon's last five matches.
Fraser was forced off after scoring and assisting in Saturday's win over Brighton, and Howe hopes he can recover to face the Saints.
"I think there's a few boys in the dressing room nursing little things today," Howe said, after his side's recent victory.
"You saw a few of them stretching on the pitch. It was a big physical effort. There were a few players right on the edge.
"Hopefully, Ryan will be OK."
