David Unsworth is resigning as Everton U23 manager.
The former Blues defender has been coaching at Finch Farm since 2013.
Unsworth most recently was director of the academy and coach of the club's U23 team, but now wants to be a senior manager.
He said, "It has been one of the most difficult decisions I have made in my career. Everyone knows what Everton means to me. It's been my whole life and I've loved every single minute of my time here.
"But in order to give myself the best chance to achieve my career goals and become a permanent first team coach, I think it's the right time to move on."
