Liverpool hero Jason McAteer admits his family were caught up in the chaos that overshadowed Saturday's Champions League final.
With the Reds taking on Real Madrid in Paris, 20,000 Liverpool fans tried to get into the Stade de France ahead of kick-off in the hope of watching their team claim a seventh European Cup.
However, a significant number of supporters had problems with getting into the stadium, and McAteer has given a personal account of how the evening played out for him and his loved ones.
"My wife was mugged which was sad," McAteer told LFC TV.
"My eldest boy was attacked. You shouldn't go to a football match and have to deal with that. It's wrong. It's upsetting, it's scary."
