Former sporting director Malu Mpasinkatu is convinced AC Milan have chosen right in Divock Origi.

The departing Liverpool striker is to join AC Milan in a Bosman transfer.

Mpasinkatu, who was the first African to become a sporting director at an Italian club, told TMW: "Origi is an excellent signing, he won the Champions League as a protagonist with Liverpool.

"He was not a starter because he had (Sadio) Manè and (Mohamed) Salah in front of him."

He also said: "As for Inter, Lukaku I see it possible: a year ago he was sold for 115 million takes almost 15 million salary but the willingness of the player to cut his salary is not enough, it also serves to help Chelsea."
