West Ham United will meet Celta Vigo's release clause for Maxi Gomez, according to reports.
Sky Sports says the two clubs are now discussing the method of payment for the 44.85m fee.
According to La Liga rules, West Ham will have to pay the release clause in full at the competition's headquarters in Madrid.
The Hammers are expected to receive a cash injection following the sale of Marko Arnautovic to Shanghai SIPG for 22.4m.
Valencia had previously struck a deal for the Uruguayan striker, only for Gomez to announce his desire to join West Ham.
