Sevilla sports chief Monchi says he became battle-hardened from his experience with AS Roma.
Monchi insists he appreciated his time in Italy.
I worked really hard at Roma, but I have to thank them for the opportunity they gave me and the experience," he told Estadio Deportivo.
I'm a person who has a lot of passion, but it's true that I found some balance with them.
I was more visceral before. I took criticism worse and I always lived with a tired face.
Now, I suffer when we lose and feel really bad, but I have learnt that every day must be the same, even if you win or lose.
It was important for the club and I because if we overreact to a defeat, it halts our development.
I am more mature; I know how to deal better with defeats and victories. I am more open and less obsessive."
