Former Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes is sorry they failed to sign Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Morientes admits he has big concerns about Real's midfield.
He told Efe: "I was excited when they talked about Eriksen. I like the kind of player I've seen with Tottenham. They have talked about many players.
"(Real miss) Casemiro's replacement. Marcos Llorente (now with Atletico Madrid), his natural replacement, has left an exceptional opening when Casemiro is not there. Marco Asensio has been injured, Isco has to take the level again, just like (Luka) Modric and (Toni) Kroos.
"They're missing one, but if nobody comes it is because the coach has not wanted or the board has not been able to."
