Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not a fan of the Premier League transfer window shutting so soon.

Top clubs in England are at a disadvantage compared to teams in the rest of Europe, who have until the end of August to complete signings.

In contrast, Premier League and Championship sides must close their business by the 8th of August - a week from now.

Solskjaer spoke about the early deadline and how it has impacted his side's summer transfer business.

"I think we have picked the short straw, to be fair," said Solskjaer.

"When our league starts there is still three more weeks that clubs can be hovering around our players.

"I don't think it is a good one for us, no."
