The agent of CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov has confirmed Crystal Palace are keen.
Sandor Varga admits he's held talks with Palace manager Roy Hodgson about a deal this week for Chalov. However, Palace's 14m offer fell short of CSKA's valuation.
He told Sport-Express: "Yes, he called me and was interested in Fedor, asking for my opinion. So the interest was substantive.
"But I met with the leadership of CSKA. I understand their decision.
"It's probably too early for Fedor to join the English club. He is still young.
"He will still progress. I am sure that in the future Fedor will cost much more than 14-15m."
