Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella has spoken of his role in their Carabao Cup triumph over Arsenal.
The Spaniard came on as a substitute of the Reds' incredible 5-5 draw with Arsenal in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, which the hosts eventually won on penalties.
Chirivella told Marca: "Yes. It was a really crazy game. I think we needed a bit more control in the final 15 minutes because Arsenal were hurting us in the spaces, but it all went perfectly.
"The fans were excited about the boss' team, with lots of youngsters, from the first minute. I think we turned up for the whole match and the victory was the icing on the cake."
He added: "It's a privilege to be here. I'm very happy with the opportunity given to me yesterday and hopefully I'll have more in the next rounds of the [Carabao] Cup to keep playing minutes with the first team."
