Everton goalkeeper Joao Virginia is excited about his move to Reading.
Virginia and he is confident he can impress during his loan spell in the Championship.
"The manager and I spoke before, he trusts in me and he convinced me to come here. I can't wait to get started," Virginia said after completing his loan.
"I don't think the age counts. If you see me play, you won't recognise my age. When you see the quality and the work I put into my game, that's all that matters."
He added: "I want to improve as a keeper, and confirm my place as a senior player. Playing in the Championship with a big club like Reading will definitely help.
"As a keeper, you need to be confident, to be worthy of the trust of your teammates.
"That's what I'll bring to the team. I'm up to the challenge."
