Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu was offering little yesterday over the sudden resignation of vice-president Jordi Mestre.
The departure of Mestre, who resigned on Wednesday due to disagreements with the Board of Directors, will have no impact on their transfer strategy moving forward, insisted Bartomeu.
"Jordi Mestre's departure has nothing to do with Neymar," said the Barcelona president.
"He preferred to leave office. He's a very good friend and I thank him very much for what he's done over the years."
